Just for the record, here is a pic taken in June 2009.
This is where I share food and exercise journals as well as my praises and my vents on life.

Day one of a virtual bootcamp!
I completed the first workout video for the Sparkpeople.com "Spark Your Body Bootcamp" It was tougher then I thought and I had to modify it (they tell you that it's ok to do so) Who would have thought jumping or stepping over an imaginary line for 10 minutes was hard??? The whole idea was to get your heartrate up and it did! I also biked 10 minutes and did a few sets of strength training. Tomorrow's video looks good also. Some of the things it showed I am already doing at the fitness center.
Eating-wise I am still stuck in Christmas mode. Junk food around the house from New Years and I am trying to stay away from it as much as I can. I am planning on making some veggie soup tomorrow so that should be good!
I am starting a scrapbook this year for weight loss. I am having David take a pic of me once a month so I can see my progress. I will be posting these pics on here and in another blog on MyTrainerBob.com No laughing when you see these pics! I am wearing my sports bra and capris pants so there will be NO lying to myself or others!
Breakfast today:
Hard boiled egg
1/2 c rolled oats
Lunch
Homemade steak fajita
1 serving corn tortilla chips
salsa--tomato and also some of corn salsa
milk
Then it gets crazy LOL: triscuits, cream cheese, popcorn, toast the rest of the afternoon and evening! See what I mean about the crap in the house yet? Well, that will change again soon!
Have a good one bloggers!

Happy Freaking New Year!
Ok, so that may not be a great title. I really am happy that it is 2010. I was having a good time and fairly nice visit with my sister and brother-in-law. She gave me and early birthday present (29 days early) that i got to open this morning. :-/ Part of the gift was very nice..she got me some embossing folders for my Sizzix. But the other part of the gift was a diet book called "Sugar Busters" --sigh-- I can't win somedays! I glanced through it and said "This is pretty much how I already have been eating the last 9 months" She replied "Yeah, I thought so too" Oh really? Then why the heck buy it for me? Why is it she always wants to give unsolicted advice on eating? This is the same person who keeps food past the expiration date and leftovers for more then 4 days. I would have thought after many conversations with her on things Dad has said and ones in years past when I have more or less told her to mind her own business on such subjects as my weight and diet that she would "get it". I guess that once again I was wrong! I guess some people don't get that if you want a diet book you will 1. Buy it for yourself or 2. Request that specific book. You do not give someone a diet book that they don't ask for.
On a brighter note: I did a workout today (with sis who could not keep up!) and I pre-viewed the Sparkpeople bootcamp that starts Sunday. Would it be cheating to start it a day early? Everyone have a great weekend!

Upping the ante!
It's all good! Had a greta workout with Paulette today. She upped my weights and/or reps depending on the exercise. Also did more cardio whew! I appreciate the challenge though! I know she isn;t going to ask anything of me that I can't handle.
Food today was ok I guess. I had eggs and whole grain toast for breakfast and then a banana after workout. Lunch was a salad with some cheese on it. Dinner was mixed veggies, red potatoes roasted in olive oil and some ham. All very good. Not sure about the sodium for the day though. But I think calorie wise I am still in the clear.
I can't believe I only have 3(?) more sessions with her. :-( Wish we could afford to join the fitness center.

Saturday
Saturday already! This morning I went to the Women's Fellowship breakfast at church. Food-wise it really wasn't too bad. I had some egg cassaroles and a small bit..about 3 bites of a homemade cinnamon roll. And black coffee. Before leaving home I ate half a banana so I wouldn't over do it. After getting home though I was munching on a gingerbread cookie and had 2 whole wheat polenta cookies. I suppose as a whole my calorie count has not been too outragous. I drank broth for lunch, had some crackers with cheese. I don't know what it is, just not too hungry. Oh--had a nice salad too. Tomorrow may be an eating day LOL! I am trying to listen to what my body says it wants. So that may mean a day where I don't eat as much and days where I do.
So not much to report here. I have not veen sleeping well the last couple weeks. Probably longer actually. Seems like since we went out of town for Thanksgiving I am "off" sleep and food wise. I am praying I can get back on track soon!

No Excuses!
No excuses. I have no excuses for not blogging. Yesterday I had some friends over for lunch. Some were from the church I used to attend, well ALL were. But all but 3 of us still go there…for now. Most are overweight and/or have health problems. I sat there listening as they asked one friend how she had lost all her weight, and then listened to their excuses as to why that wouldn’t work for them. I wanted to yell out—“What is wrong with you people?” But I didn’t. I just listened. “I’m too old” “I’m too fat”, “I’m too unhealthy”, “It’s the medication I’m on”, “It’s in my genes”, “I’m thinking of lap band surgery”, etc. I have heard them before, perhaps even used some of them. I realized how far I have come the last few months and ridiculus the excuses really are. I may not be losing a lot of weight for whatever reason, but I have not given up! I may not have lost a lot of weight but I have improved my cholesterol, my blood pressure and my blood sugar numbers. I will keep exercising, I will keep eating healthy. I am not perfect, in fact I had KFC and David’s homemade chili today. (I was proud I took most of the skin off too LOL!) And I did not add extra salt to the chili. And yesterday at the lunch I ate one cookie. (today I had a couple ginger bread though) :-O I just wish they would not give up on themselves and on life as a healthy person.
